Playaway is Here! The Reed Library now offers audio books on mini MP3 players called Playaways. You can wear the player around your neck allowing you to listen on the go. You use your own headphones, or you can purchase a set for $1. We have about 50 titles ranging from fun, contemporary fiction like Jerry Spinelli’s Loser to classics like Little Women. It’s especially fun to check out the book with the Playaway so you can listen and read at the same time. Playaways are located in the fiction section. Playways are more expensive than regular books, and students need to understand they are responsible for the replacement cost if lost or damaged.
Use this web site as your information portal, whether for school, class or personal enjoyment. For access to information, use the links in the top menu bar. Explore each section of the site in our main menu. You will find useful information, as well as links to hundreds of valuable and entertaining sites from the web. You will be able to download many of the forms, documents, and lessons that we use in the library. Your teachers will post their research assignments on the site so you can keep up to date. Teachers will find many valuable resources. For me, best of all, I will again be able to post book reviews, as well as now posting your reviews of your favorite, or not so favorite books.
