Walter Reed Middle School

Please join us on Wednesday, October 15, at 8am for the montly Compensatory Education Advisory Council and the English Learner Advisory Council meeting.  We’ll meet in room # 107. 

Our School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Council, and Compensatory Education Advisory Council’s will all hold their elections next Wednesday, September 24, at 8am in the school cafeteria.  We encourage everyone to attend the meetings and get involved in the school’s decision-making committees.  

This year’s first meeting of the Friends of the Technology Academy will be held on October 2, 2008 at 8am in room # 107.  Anyone with a student in the Technology Academy is welcome to attend and join the discussion about this newer academy. 

Our SLC Open House is October 29, 2008 from 6pm-8pm beginning in the school Auditorium.  Everyone is welcome.

Hi Reed Family!  This is Donna Tobin the principal from Walter Reed calling.

We are part way through our C Track testing.    I would like to thank all of our students and parents for our students’ excellent attendance.  We are looking forward to another fabulous week of great attendance and testing.  Testing ends on Friday, April 4.

A parent workshop is planned for Tuesday, April 1, at 8:00 a.m. in room 104.  The workshop will be addressing the importance of family values.  Also on Tuesday we have a Technology Family meeting at 8:00 a.m. in room 107.

Be sure to join us Thursday night, April 3, for C Track Open House and A Track PHABAO conferencing.  Both events are from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Yearbook pre-sales will be available so make sure you take advantage of the $30.00 cost before it goes up.  Don’t forget to stop by and buy some delicious baked goods from our PTSA.  The following day we will have a 12:46 p.m. dismissal time.

If your child rides his/her bike to school please make sure that your child wears a helmet. Accidents do happen and we want to make sure our students are protected.
